The Unplugged Woodshop is Canada’s first, “hand-tool-only” woodworking school.
Located in Toronto, Ontario, the fourth largest city in North-America, you’ll have much to see and experience while you’re here.
Classified as an alpha global city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network, Toronto is a leading international centre of business, finance, arts and culture.
Our 2100 square foot facility, with South-West facing windows, and studio-inspired, white-washed walls, welcomes an abundance of natural light all through the working day.
French polishing and parquetry are practiced, as well as Moxon-Style vices with stand alone resawing stations make our school a truly, hand-tool-friendly work environment.
The UW-Toronto is also proud to host our very own “Hand-Tool Emporium” where you’ll find some of the finest hand tools available anywhere on the planet.
With makers and manufacturers from Canada and the United States, England, France, New Zealand and Australia, you’ll be able to put these tools to test during your classes and courses.
The Unplugged Woodshop Toronto is dedicated to providing students with a safe and inspired, educational experience through the proper use of hand tools and the fine art of working wood.
Make everyday, a masterpiece!
