We’re extremely excited to be carrying these Canadian made holdfasts!
Matt Jenkins is a modern man practicing an ancient art. He’s also an internationally acclaimed, award winning blacksmith who has plied his trade from Europe to the United States, creating contemporary designs with traditional tools and techniques dating back more than 2000 years.
For 20 years, from Cloverdale Forge on the family farm in Manitoba, he has been creating contemporary designs with a soft and delicate texture from a cold hard material.
At The Unplugged Woodshop Store, we’re offering both his traditional style holdfast, as well as a more contemporary design.
The traditional is 15 1/4″ long with a reach of 5 1/4″ while the contemporary is 13 1/2″ x 6 1/4″.
**Sizes are approximate as these holdfasts are handcrafted and may vary slightly.
“Cloverdale Forge is set in the windswept Canadian prairie in Selkirk, Manitoba, and has been home to two generations of blacksmiths. Owned and operated by Matt Jenkins and Karen Rudolph, Cloverdale is focused on designing to fit modern-day needs with custom iron for the home, garden, or cabin. We strive to produce the best-forged products that can be made with hands, hammer, and anvil.”
