We're back today with the second ( and final ) part of the gouge making series. In this episode I'll shape the handle. I'm using Satinwood which is a lovely dense species, perfect for this application. Ethan Sincox, a fellow woodworker, gifted me a few small pieces of it some 6 or 7 years ago. I finally found a project for it!
