Yeah Tom,

the field note book....i carry one with me all the time, it's an outer extension of any muddled thoughts distilled into little gems of information, i can't imagine being without a notebook....notes on joinery from old and new furniture while visiting old houses, museums, in a store, on a bus or just sitting with a cuppa doodling ideas, it's amazing to scan back through the pages and see where ideas originate and without the notebook the spark often gets lost in the rest of the days general tasks.
Cheers

I carry a little notebook with me everywhere i go. i made it a book and uploaded to lulu b/c I can't find what i want anywhere. it's just graph paper and isometric paper. I love sketching on isometric paper when i am on the toilet at work thinking about woodworking.... that came out wrong. .. so did that. better stop now.
