I’m an enthusiastic follower of your posts and reader/re-reader of the Unplugged Woodshop books.

I’d like to show off my new kerfing plane, which I made by using your posts and instructions in the book as a guide. It’s a Frankenstein, made from whatever I had available in the shop (materials are sometimes a real challenge in Florida).

There’s walnut for the body and nuts, cherry dowel for the arms, and some maple and white oak for the fence.

It won’t win any beauty contests but it works like a dream.

Thanks for the inspiration.

I’m working on the frame saw now.
