Hi Tom,
I thought I should share with you my toolbox that I made based on reading your book. Although my joinery skills need some work, I learned a lot and had a blast making it (especially using dowels). Black walnut is definitely my favorite type of wood, the colors and grain patterns are simply divine.

I really wanted to keep this ‘in the bag’ until the album was ready but made the mistake of using it as my profile picture on Facebook this morning-!!

few months back I wrote a review for Canadian Woodworking Magazine on some low-angle block planes. One of the planes was the new Veritas DX 60, I had been using it for a few weeks at the time of the article and I think I might have made a comment that it wasn’t the most comfortable plane in the lot but excelled everywhere else I could see.
