Continuing along immediately following where we left off after resawing the rift sawn Fir, we'll sharpen up the Jack plane and get after it. I'm sharpening this iron at 35 degrees and working to a line as close to 3/8" finished thickness as possible. Anything less than 3/8" will force me to rethink the design as I don't want the fir carcase to be too thin. If it does end up being less than 3/8 . . .
